Undercurrent began in 2009 as Influit Energy, born at Argonne National Laboratory with a radical idea: a nano-fluid flow battery unlike anything before. From the start, we weren’t chasing trends—we were reimagining energy from the molecular level up.

We saw an industry trapped by rare earths, fragile supply chains, and unsafe chemistries. Our goal wasn’t a “better battery” but a new energy architecture: locally sourced, globally scalable, safe everywhere.
